Nvidia launches GeForce GTX 460 V2

Nvidia GPUs Geforce GTX 460 launched in July last year, still enjoy great popularity among consumers, although in theory should have been replaced by the current Geforce GTX 560 Series. Nvidia quietly brings a new and curious launch its "new" GPU Geforce GTX 460 V2. The Geforce GTX 460 V2 GPU, although its name suggests, is based on the old Fermi GF104 core which are based the rest of the GPUs of the GeForce GTX 460, but in the current Fermi GF114, used in the Geforce GTX 560 Series (except Ti Geforce GTX 560 448 Cores, which is based on the core GF110). Its specifications are very similar to the recent Geforce GTX 560 SE, but comes a little cut on features. The Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 GPU runs at 778MHz V2, has 336 shader processors running at 1556MHz, 56 texture units, 24 ROPs, 7 motors Polymorph Engine, 1GB of GDDR5 memory with 192-bit bus running at 1002MHz (4008MHz effective), and a 160W TDP. Full specifications here:
By having less specific than the Geforce GTX 560 SE, the TDP is expected that similar or lower, but curiously its TDP is 10W higher than that of her older sister, but their performance should be pretty close to hers.

Call of Duty Elite, a disaster

A week after the historic launch of Modern Warfare 3, the anticipated social and Statistical Service, Call of Duty Elite, continues to operate intermittently, which is why today we report on the extent of annual membership for 30 days. In the same news, Beachhead clarified that these problems were not affecting game performance.

Unfortunately, to make matters worse, since records began prejudice to paragraph billionaire multiplayer title, with users reporting connection and latency abnormalities in the menus, while the registration system and the site as such, remain stuck.

Beachhead says it is working tirelessly to eliminate the obstacles arising from what they described as a "tremendous traffic" and clarified that the collection of statistics is working correctly.

"The launch of MW3 has been tremendous and we knew he would, only resulted in a tremendous volume of traffic on Elite. We anticipate that would be great, but ended up being even bigger, "said Daniel Suarez, vice president of distribution, a few days.

We can not overlook the fact that, with or without extension, membership fee is $ 50 USD per year and is not receiving what was promised. Meanwhile, mobile applications will also be backward Elite and just last week reported that, due to inherent problems in the PC, who will play on computer experience diluted.

In light of these problems, it seems that irony did his. It is worth remembering that, at the time, Glen Schofield, director and co-founder of Sledgehammer Games, scoffed at the problems experienced by the Beta of Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty now which is struggling, not only in this trench, but in the skills of the users, forcing himself Schofield for help to the community.
