Megaupload disappears from the Internet DNS error

One of the most famous of the world cyberlockers, MegaUpload, unresponsive for about 24 hours for much of the world. Mark the address is useless and just get through the IP (174.140.154.23) works. One might think that is another attack by corporations like the MPAA and RIAA, but it seems that everything is a problem domain registration and DNS.

No wonder that the first culprits are the corporations that fight against piracy or the U.S. government itself - as it was with Rojadirecta - as MegaUpload is one of their blacklists as well as other websites. But the problem seems to be that the service's DNS settings changed during the night of Monday and setting a bad happened there, which explains why some people can still view the site. However, this raises suspicion because a critical process as changing the DNS service is as big as it should never be taken lightly.

But so far no official statements or solid evidence about what happens, but stay tuned. That one of the largest cyberlockers and disappear from the Internet is not something that can be taken with breakfast and the newspaper of the day. Much less when it comes to a service that offers a payment plan that many use.

  1. Seems like this year there is a lot of major hacking. Starting with Sony. Whether this is due to hackers or not, we will see

  2. While this is bad, I almost feel like Megaupload deserves it.
